Overview
The SMS settings page allows organization administrators to activate SMS messaging for their firm.
To comply with industry regulations, all organizations must complete a 10DLC (10 Digit Long Code) Brand and Campaign Registration before SMS messaging can be enabled. Once approved, ProPlaintiff.ai provisions a Twilio phone number for your organization and activates SMS messaging.
What You Can Do with SMS
Once SMS has been activated, your firm can:
Send appointment reminders
Share case updates and next steps
Request documents from clients
Send general case related correspondence
Receive documents, photos, and videos from clients through secure upload links sent via text—no app or account required.
Where to Find SMS Settings
Click your profile in the bottom left corner.
Select Settings.
Under the Organization section, click SMS.
The SMS Settings page displays your organization's messaging status.
Messaging Status
The Messaging Status section shows whether SMS has been activated for your organization.
Possible statuses include:
Not Enabled – SMS has not been activated.
Active – Your organization is approved and can begin using SMS messaging.
Enabling SMS Messaging
To activate SMS messaging:
Navigate to Settings > SMS.
Click Complete 10DLC Form.
Complete the Google Form with your law firm's required registration information.
Submit the form.
Your registration will be reviewed and submitted for A2P 10DLC brand and campaign approval.
What is the 10DLC Form?
The Law Firm Messaging Brand and Campaign Registration Form collects the information required to register your law firm for SMS messaging.
The information provided is used to:
Register your law firm with mobile carriers.
Obtain a dedicated Twilio phone number.
Meet A2P 10DLC compliance requirements.
Enable secure SMS communication through ProPlaintiff.ai.
Activation Process
After submitting the registration form:
ProPlaintiff.ai submits your brand and messaging campaign for approval.
A dedicated phone number is provisioned for your organization.
SMS messaging is activated once approval is complete.
You will receive a confirmation email notifying you that SMS is ready to use.
Approval times may vary depending on carrier processing.
Important Notes
SMS messaging cannot be activated until the 10DLC registration has been approved.
Each organization must complete its own registration form.
Only organization administrators can request SMS activation.
You will receive an email once SMS has been successfully activated.
