Getting to Know the Dashboard

Learn how to navigate the ProPlaintiff.ai Dashboard, including the Viewing Case selector, navigation menu, AI tools, Threads, Ask Tiff, Help Center, Settings, and other key features that power your daily workflow.

Welcome to ProPlaintiff, an AI-powered case management and document drafting platform designed specifically for personal injury attorneys. This tutorial introduces you to its core tools, from interacting with the AI paralegal, TIFF, to drafting your first demand letter. On the left side of the interface, you’ll find the main navigation menu, which is organized into several key sections. At the top, you can select the case you’re working on using a dropdown menu and track billable hours with the built-in time tracker, which automatically logs entries into the case’s financial ledger.

A central feature of the platform is the AI paralegal, TIFF, which acts as your assistant for legal research, drafting, and case support. Through a simple chat interface, TIFF can pull insights from case files, assign tasks, add calendar events, and generate documents on demand—all from a single prompt. The cases section allows you to manage all active and archived matters, create new cases, monitor progress, and access everything tied to a specific file.

The templates feature helps standardize document drafting across your firm by using customizable prompts, dynamic fields, and signatures powered by agentic AI. You can even convert existing documents into reusable templates using the template mirroring feature. The calendar keeps all case-related deadlines and events in one place, allowing you to assign tasks, attach files, create recurring events, and even integrate with external calendars like Outlook. TIFF can also assist with identifying urgent tasks and organizing schedules using @mentions.

ProPlaintiff also includes a fully integrated email system, enabling you to compose messages, search case-specific communications, and manage correspondence without leaving the platform. The contacts section provides a centralized directory of everyone with your cases, including clients, opposing counsel, and medical providers.

Within each case, you’ll find a dedicated workspace that includes the case overview, case files, demand letters, and medical chronology. The overview dashboard gives you a snapshot of case progress, while threads store all past conversations with TIFF, allowing you to resume work at any time. You can organize these conversations into folders for better structure, such as separating research from client communications.

Additional tools include a quick access menu for toggling dark mode, accessing support resources, or inviting team members, and a settings panel where you can manage your organization, update information, configure defaults, review subscriptions, and connect third-party apps. Altogether, ProPlaintiff provides a comprehensive, streamlined environment for managing cases and legal workflows.


Dashboard Layout

The dashboard is organized into several key areas to help you navigate the platform efficiently.


Collapse the Navigation Panel

In the upper left corner of the dashboard is the Collapse Navigation button.

Clicking this button hides the left navigation panel, giving you more room to work within the main workspace. Click it again at any time to expand the navigation menu.


Viewing Case

Near the top of the navigation panel is the Viewing Case dropdown.

This determines which case you are currently working in throughout the platform.

Many features—including Case Files, Case Overview, document generation, SMS, Email, and Ask Tiff—use the currently selected case.

⚠️ Important: Always verify you're working in the correct case before uploading documents, sending emails or text messages, generating documents, or using AI features.


Tracker

Located directly beneath the Viewing Case selector is the Tracker.

The Tracker allows you to monitor time while working on a case for billing and productivity purposes.


Main Navigation

The Main Navigation section provides quick access to your firm's primary tools.

Available options include:

  • Ask Tiff – Interact with ProPlaintiff.ai's AI legal assistant.

  • Cases – Create and manage cases.

  • Templates – Access Team Templates and the ProPlaintiff Library.

  • Calendar – View deadlines, appointments, and important dates.

  • Email – Manage case related email communications.

  • SMS – Send and receive text messages with clients.

  • Contacts – Manage client and contact information.


Case Navigation

The Case Navigation section contains information and files specific to the currently selected case.

Available options include:

  • Case Overview – View and edit important case details.

  • Case Files – Upload, organize, summarize, and manage documents.


Tiff Generations

The Tiff Generations section provides access to ProPlaintiff.ai's AI document generation tools.

Available generators include:

Each generator uses information from the currently selected case to produce professional legal documents.


Threads

The Threads section organizes your conversations with Tiff.

Threads help keep AI conversations grouped by topic, making it easy to return to previous discussions without losing context.

You can organize conversations into folders or leave them uncategorized for quick access.


Ask Tiff Workspace

The center of the dashboard is your conversation area with Tiff.

Here you can:

  • Ask legal or case related questions

  • Generate legal documents

  • Summarize evidence

  • Analyze uploaded files

  • Create new cases

  • Draft demand letters

  • Continue previous conversations

The message box also supports:

  • @ mentions to reference cases or documents

  • / commands for quick actions

  • Suggested prompts to help you get started


Settings

Your Settings are located in the lower left corner of the dashboard.

From Settings, organization owners and users can manage items such as:

Organization:

  • General

  • SMS

  • Team

  • Default Folders

  • Blocks & Fields

  • Paralegal Prompts

  • Subscription

  • System Logs

  • Analytics

  • Reports

  • Automations

  • Email Templates

Connected Apps:

  • Connected Apps

The available settings may vary depending on your user role.


Ask Tiff & Help

In the lower right corner of every page you'll find two helpful tools.

Ask Tiff

Opens your AI legal assistant from anywhere in the platform, allowing you to ask questions or perform AI powered tasks without interrupting your workflow.

Help

Provides quick access to the ProPlaintiff.ai Help Center, where you can browse articles, tutorials, and setup guides.

The Dashboard is the central hub of ProPlaintiff.ai, providing quick access to your cases, documents, AI tools, communications, templates, and organization settings. By selecting the correct case, navigating with the left sidebar, and using Ask Tiff throughout your workflow, you can efficiently manage every aspect of your firm's work from a single location.
