Video & Audio Analysis
ProPlaintiff.ai makes it easy to upload, transcribe, and analyze video and audio evidence. Once uploaded, the platform automatically generates a transcript and uses AI to break down the recording into searchable chapters and summaries, helping your team quickly identify the most important information.
Supported File Types
Video

Maximum file size: 10 GB per file
Uploading a Video or Audio File
Open the appropriate case.
Navigate to Case Files.
Click Upload Files.
Drag and drop your file into the upload window or browse your computer.
Click Upload Documents.
You can also upload files directly from:
Google Drive
Microsoft OneDrive
Dropbox
After the upload is complete, the file will begin processing automatically.
Opening a Video or Audio File
Once processing is complete:
Navigate to the folder containing your file.
Click the file name to open it.
The analysis window includes several powerful tools designed to help you review recordings more efficiently.
Video Preview
The Preview tab allows you to watch the recording directly inside ProPlaintiff.ai.
From here you can:
Play the recording
Pause or seek to any point in the timeline
View the transcript alongside the video
Jump to specific portions of the recording
AI Summary
Select Summary to view an AI generated breakdown of the recording.
Rather than reading through an entire transcript, the AI organizes the content into meaningful sections that make it easier to understand what occurred.
Depending on the recording, the summary may include:
Chapter breakdowns
Important conversations
Key events
People visible in the video
Significant actions or observations
Visual scene descriptions
If needed, you can select Regenerate to create a new AI summary.
Chapters
Long recordings are automatically divided into chapters.
Each chapter summarizes a section of the recording, allowing you to quickly identify where important events occur without watching the entire video from beginning to end.
Transcript
Every uploaded recording is automatically transcribed.
The transcript includes:
Timestamped conversations
Speaker identification (when available)
Search functionality
Playback controls for individual transcript entries
Clicking a transcript entry allows you to quickly navigate to that point in the recording.
Exporting Content
You can export both the transcript and AI generated summaries for use outside of ProPlaintiff.ai.
Export options are available directly within the transcript and summary panels.
Best Practices
Upload the highest quality recording available for the most accurate transcription.
Wait until processing has completed before reviewing AI summaries.
Use the transcript search bar to quickly locate names, dates, or important keywords.
Review AI summaries first to identify key moments before watching the full recording.
Tip: Video analysis is especially valuable for body camera footage, surveillance video, depositions, interviews, dashcam footage, witness statements, and recorded client conversations. The AI summary can significantly reduce the time spent reviewing lengthy recordings by highlighting the most important events first.
