Where to Find the Case Files Viewer
Select a case from the Viewing Case dropdown.
Scroll to the Case Navigation section.
Select Case Files.
You will see your uploaded documents listed in the Case Files table.Accessing the Viewer
How to Open the Viewer
You can open the Case Files Viewer in two ways:
Double click any file in the Case Files table
Select the three dot menu next to the file and choose View
Either action opens the file in the in browser viewer.
Viewer Once the viewer is open, you will see your document displayed in a focused, full width workspace. At the top of the viewer is a toolbar that includes the following modes:
View
Annotate
Shapes
Insert
Edit
Fill and Sign
Forms
These tools allow you to highlight information, add notes, draw shapes, insert text, fill forms, or complete edits directly within the viewer.
Supported file types include PDF and DOCX, which are rendered cleanly inside the browser.
AI Summary in the Viewer
The AI Summary button is located in the top right corner of the viewer.
If the file was summarized during upload
Selecting AI Summary displays the generated summary, including:
Key facts extracted from the document
Medical and legal information
Relevance to the case
Recommended next steps
You may edit the summary directly to refine or expand the content.
If the file was not summarized during upload
You can generate a summary from the Case Files Viewer.
Click AI Summary and you will see a Generate AI Summary prompt. Selecting it will:
Process the file through AI
Produce a legal focused summary
Display the new summary within the viewer
This is helpful if you chose not to enable AI Summary during the upload process but want a summary later.
Additional Viewer Actions
In the top right corner of the viewer, the actions menu provides access to:
Download
Save the file directly to your device.
Open in New Tab
View the file in a full browser window for printing or wide screen review.
Edit Tags
Update or change the folder classification of the file without closing the viewer.
Summary
The Case Files Viewer is the central workspace for reviewing and working with uploaded documents. It provides in browser document rendering, annotation tools, editing options, and AI summarization. Whether you are reading medical records, examining liability documents, or generating summaries on demand, the viewer keeps everything accessible without interrupting your workflow.
