Threads in ProPlaintiff.ai

Threads are saved conversations that store your messages, AI responses, and uploaded files. They help you continue work across sessions, maintain context, and easily revisit past discussions for ongoing case and drafting tasks.

Updated over 3 months ago

Threads function similarly to conversational workspaces found in other popular AI tools, but are designed specifically for legal workflows and collaboration. When you return to a thread, all information and context remain available to you and your AI Assistants.

Where to Find Threads

  1. Open the Main Navigation panel on the left side of your screen.

  2. Click Threads.

  3. You’ll see a list of ongoing conversations between you, your team, and the ProPlaintiff AI system.

What You Can Do in Threads

Threads give you a flexible and organized workspace for interacting with the AI and your team. In a thread, you can:

  • Start a new conversation or continue an existing one

  • Maintain context from earlier messages or uploaded files

  • Refer back to previous AI responses and drafts

  • Upload new documents as the case evolves

  • Search across active or archived threads to locate past work

  • Rename a thread by selecting the three dots next to the title and choosing Rename

Threads are ideal for managing ongoing case discussions, drafting workflows, and multi step tasks that require continuity.

Context Awareness

Threads are context aware, meaning the AI retains information shared within the thread. This includes:

  • Documents uploaded during earlier interactions

  • Facts or case details introduced previously

  • Drafts or versions generated in earlier sessions

When you return to a thread at a later time, the AI will continue to use this information to provide consistent, accurate, and contextually informed responses.

When to Use Threads

Threads are the best choice when:

  • You want to maintain a long term conversation with the AI

  • You are drafting a document that requires multiple revisions

  • You are collaborating with team members on a case or project

  • You want to quickly revisit past instructions, outputs, or files

If you are unsure where a conversation or draft occurred, Threads provide the fastest way to locate and resume it.
