With ProPlaintiff.ai, citations are automatically generated alongside your AI-produced documents, so you can quickly verify every detail with linked source information. This ensures each event, diagnosis, treatment, or test within a medical chronology or demand letter can be traced back to its original document.
Where to Find Citations
On the left side of the screen, you’ll see a Citations & References panel. Each section of your Demand Letter or Medical Chronology, such as Accident Summary, Patient History, or Medical Chronology, has its own expandable menu showing the total number of citations included.
When you click into any section:
A list of citations appears, each linked to the original document and page number.
You can cross-reference the AI-generated summary with the original source for verification.
How Citations Work
Automatic Linking: Every time AI pulls details from your uploaded case files, it generates a citation tied to the exact source.
Transparency: Hovering over or clicking a citation will show you where the information originated.
Section-Based Organization: Citations are grouped according to the sections in your Medical Chronology or Demand Letter for easy navigation.
Choosing Citation Options
When setting up your document in the Workspace Tab, you can choose how you’d like the system to handle citations from a drop-down menu:
No Citations (Standard generation):
The AI will generate your document without adding linked source references. Choosing No Citations is faster.Include Citations (With source references):
The AI will include citations tied directly to your uploaded case files. This provides full transparency and traceability.
Using Citations Effectively
Review Each Section: Open the citation list to quickly confirm the accuracy of facts in the generated document.
Cross-Check Critical Details: Ensure medical events, accident timelines, or legal summaries match the original documents.
Audit for Completeness: Missing or incomplete citations may indicate that additional source files need to be uploaded.
