Drafting a demand letter used to take hours, but with ProPlaintiff, you can move from a case file to a finished packet in a single sitting. To get started, select your case from the dropdown menu—for example, John Smith versus Great Store—and navigate to the demand letter dashboard. Before entering any information, review the case details at the top of the page to ensure all client, case, and insurance information is accurate. If anything is missing, return to the case overview to make updates.

Once your case details are complete, select a demand letter template from your existing options or use the default template. Enter the demand amount and choose whether to include citations, which reference supporting documents within your case file for easy validation. If additional files are needed, you can upload them at this stage. Then, generate the demand letter. The process typically takes between two and fifteen minutes, depending on the size of the case file, and runs in the background so you can continue working on other tasks.

Alternatively, you can create a demand letter directly from the home screen using Tiff by prompting it with a request like “Let’s create a demand letter for John Smith versus Great Store.” Tiff will generate the draft and may ask follow-up questions before completing the process. Once the demand letter is ready, review the draft, make edits, and check citations for accuracy. You can also ask Tiff for feedback or request revisions to refine the document further.

When you are satisfied with the final version, save it as a new version or download the full packet, which includes all referenced documents. If needed, you can revisit the version history to review or revert to earlier drafts. With these tools, ProPlaintiff makes it easy to generate a polished, professional demand letter in just minutes.
