Threads

Threads are saved conversations that store your messages, uploads, AI responses, and work context. They help you continue work across sessions, revisit prior discussions, and manage ongoing drafting, research, and case workflows.

Threads function similarly to conversational workspaces found in other AI tools, but are designed specifically for legal workflows within ProPlaintiff.ai.

When you return to a thread, your prior messages, uploads, and AI-generated work remain available so you can continue where you left off.

Important: Threads Are Private to Your Account

Threads are not shared across your organization.

Each user in ProPlaintiff.ai has their own individual login, and threads are only visible to the account that created them.

This means:

  • Other users in your organization cannot view your threads

  • Your saved conversations remain private to your login

  • Uploaded files and AI interactions within a thread are only accessible to you through your account

Threads are intended to function as a personal AI workspace tied to your individual user session.

Where to Find Threads

  1. Open the Main Navigation panel on the left side of your screen.

  2. Click Threads.

You will see a list of your saved conversations with the ProPlaintiff AI system.

Threads provide a flexible workspace for interacting with AI over time.

Within a thread, you can:

  • Start a new conversation or continue an existing one

  • Maintain context from earlier messages or uploaded files

  • Refer back to previous AI responses and drafts

  • Upload additional documents as the case evolves

  • Search active or archived threads to locate prior work

  • Rename a thread by selecting the three dots next to the title and choosing Rename

Threads are especially useful for ongoing drafting workflows, legal research, document revisions, and multi-step tasks.

Context Awareness

Threads are context-aware, meaning the AI retains information shared within the conversation.

This includes:

  • Previously uploaded documents

  • Case facts or details shared earlier

  • Prior drafts and generated outputs

  • Earlier instructions and revisions

When you return to a thread later, the AI can continue working with that existing context to provide more consistent and informed responses.

When to Use Threads

Threads are best used when:

  • You want to maintain a long-term conversation with AI

  • You are drafting documents that require multiple revisions

  • You want to preserve prior instructions or outputs

  • You regularly return to the same workflow or project

  • You need a persistent workspace for ongoing case tasks

If you are unsure where prior work occurred, Threads provide the fastest way to resume past conversations and continue working without starting over.

Summary

Threads act as persistent AI workspaces that help you organize conversations, drafts, uploads, and legal workflows over time. Because threads are tied to your personal login, they remain private to your account while preserving the full context of your ongoing work.
