The Case File Summaries feature allows you to quickly review the key points of any document in your case files using AI-powered summaries. Whether a file is newly uploaded or already on record, you can generate and edit summaries directly in the viewer.
Where to Find Case File Summaries
Select a case from the Viewing Case dropdown menu.
Scroll to the Case Navigation section.
Click Case Files.
💡 In Version 3, Case File Summaries are no longer a standalone tab (as they were in V2) but remain available directly within Case Files.
⚡ Ways to Generate Summaries
🆕 During Upload
When uploading a new case file, check the AI Summary option.
The file will be automatically queued for summary generation after upload.
📄 For Existing Case Files
You can summarize case files already in the system using either of these methods:
1. Summarize Button
Click the summarize icon next to the file name (beside the Actions (…) button).
2. Web Viewer Tab
Open the file in the web viewer.
Go to the AI Summary tab.
Click to generate a summary directly from within the viewer.
🖊️ Working in the AI Summary Tab
When viewing a summarized document:
Live Edit – Make changes to the AI-generated summary directly in the editor.
Toggle Views – Switch between the Original Document and AI Summary using the top-right toggle.
Layout & Insert Tools – Within the AI Summary tab, you can:
Change the layout
Insert breaks, tables, and images into the summary
Download & Save – Export the edited summary to your device or save it within the case file for future reference.
📌 Summary Storage
Generated summaries are saved alongside the case file.
You can return to them anytime to quickly extract insights and key points without re-reading the entire document.
