Integrating with MyCase

ProPlaintiff.ai integrates with MyCase to let you import your existing cases and client data directly into your ProPlaintiff account. This is a one-way migration; data flows from MyCase into ProPlaintiff.

Before You Start

  • You must be on the MyCase Advanced Tier to access the Open API.

  • You will need a Client ID and Client Secret from MyCase. These are not available in your MyCase account settings — you must request them directly from MyCase support.


Step 1: Request Your API Credentials from MyCase

  1. Contact MyCase support at mycase.com/support or call (800) 571-8062.

  2. Let them know you need OAuth API credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) to connect a third-party application.

  3. MyCase will provide you with your Client ID and Client Secret. Keep these safe — you'll need them in the next step.

Note: MyCase only provides API credentials to Advanced Tier subscribers. If you are on a lower tier, you will need to upgrade before proceeding.


Step 2: Connect MyCase in ProPlaintiff.ai

  1. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner of ProPlaintiff.ai.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Click the Connected Apps tab.

  4. Click Configure next to MyCase.

  5. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret when prompted.

  6. Authorize the connection. You will be redirected to MyCase to log in and confirm access.

  7. Once authorized, your cases will begin importing into ProPlaintiff.ai.


Disconnecting MyCase

  1. Go to Settings → Connected Apps.

  2. Click Disconnect next to MyCase.

  3. Confirm when prompted.

Disconnecting immediately revokes access between ProPlaintiff.ai and your MyCase account.
